Fashion — hand-dyed tailoring

Lagos, Nigeria · Since 2018

Ilé Adire

Hand-dyed indigo tailoring for the modern wardrobe.

Founded by textile designer Adeola Bakare, Ilé Adire works with a dyeing cooperative in Abeokuta to translate traditional adire patterns into precisely cut, wearable tailoring.

Pattern should never be decoration alone. Every resist mark is placed before the cloth is cut, so the print follows the body.
